About the California Trials

The 2020 California Trials are happening on a company-by-company basis due to COVID-19. 
Check back for the latest updates.
California Summer Trials can span up to 2 weeks and cover 400 miles north to south. Long row trials, furrow irrigation, and loamy soils are center stage, with day and night temperatures ranging significantly depending on location.

Syngenta Seeds - Virtual Event - September 10 - Syngenta decided to narrow its focus to cucurbits in its Woodland fields and will host virtual trials in September. It’s open to all who want to attend.

Enza Zaden & Vitalis Organic Seeds - Due to the recent increase in the number of Covid cases in California, we are unfortunately canceling our watermelon field day.

Seminis Vegetable Seeds (Bayer) - Retooled its 2020 trial plans due to the pandemic. While it trialed crops, the trials were closed to for in-person visits. It will share the results in the early fall. Stay tuned for details.
